Noelene Callaghan is a Technologies Teacher in a Department of Education and Communities Secondary School in Western Sydney . She established an innovation centre (iCentre) at her school and trials new and emerging technologies in classrooms. Much of her research is dedicated to using Minecraft and Social Media in a learning environment which are amongst the most referenced papers in the areas of ICT, gamification and digital pedagogies. She is also highly recognised for her ICT skills and is a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator, a Global Minecraft Mentor, a Google Certified Educator and an Edmodo Ambassador. In 2018, she lead her school to win the NSW DoE T4L Award for most innovative use of technologies in a secondary school based on a new subject that she implemented which has had significant impact on the schools communication.
