Louise Barnott-Clement, Principal, Ambarvale High School

An active Principal for 14 years at Ambarvale High School, with a professional career serving the South Western Sydney region. Her dynamic approach to leadership and education has seen Ambarvale High School a recipient of the Educators ‘top 40 innovative schools’ due to their integrated curriculum and Innovative pedagogy projects running through years 7-10. After recently completing Post Graduate Studies in Positive Psychology, focusing on Positive Education, Louise has embedded professional learning within Ambarvale School focusing on Positive Psychology principles. A focus has been delivering to Early Career teachers within the region, to share with them interventions that are proven to have a huge and positive effect on wellbeing, to ensure maintenance of staff retention rates within the profession, as well as enhanced teaching skills in the classroom.
