Jackie Child, Junior School Technologies Coordinator, St Aidan'S Anglican Girls' School

Jackie Child has been teaching primary aged students for over 40 years in a number of countries. She is passionate about how children learn through constructivist pedagogy. In her blog  http://tinkeringchild.com/ she describes the many benefits of ‘making’ to learn. She is an enthusiastic tinkerer who fixes and builds things constantly, whether it’s at school, home or in her garden. Jackie has held many positions in both administration and teaching including Deputy Principal, Head of Sport and Head of Art and Display. She has been a Teacher Librarian at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School and is now Technologies Coordinator. She is a sessional tutor at Griffith University for pre-service teachers in ICT Pedagogy. Jackie doesn’t believe in standing still, there is always plenty to ‘do’ and learn!
