Chantelle was the recipient of the Peter Doherty STEM Award in 2018. Her research at the Smithsonian focused on the use of design thinking in the classroom, towards creative confidence and problem solving capabilities. Currently she is a senior primary school teacher at Oakleigh State School dividing her time between STEAM coaching and the classroom. Endeavouring to foster student development, she works with year level teams to collaboratively plan STEAM units of work that are inquiry driven and enable students to be the problem solvers of the future. Having taught in a 1-1 iPad classroom for 5 years, she believes in the use of technology to engage, support and transform learning.
