Angus Humphries, Learning Area Leader Of Senior Humanities, Caulfield Grammar School

Angus is the Learning Area Leader of Senior Humanities at Caulfield Grammar School and has received his Masters Degree in Education (Studies of Asia). He teaches Year 10-12 Global Politics and History, in addition to writing curriculum and lecturing for VCAA, SEV and other organisations. Angus is passionate about genuine, visible student learning, and sees the path to all students achieving their best is for them to realise the central role they play in their own learning. He believes strongly in the power of formative practice to enable student improvement and ownership, and has developed various methods to turn this theory into effective practice. These methods centre around ensuring the work teachers do to provide feedback for their students is not only understood, but also acted upon.
