Andrea Christie-David, Director, Relationships Australia NSW

Andrea is a Director of Relationships Australia (NSW), a large not for profit organisation delivering counselling, family support, family dispute resolution, and children’s support services across New South Wales. Andrea was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Salvos Legal, a social enterprise law firm delivering commercial legal services for a fee in order to fund pro bono legal services to vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community, and spent many years as a University Lecturer in law, as well as developing and delivering continuing legal education to lawyers.

Andrea is also a mother of three, who has experienced various types of early childhood education. She has used this personal experience, as well as her studies at the Australian Catholic University, where she is currently completing a Master of Teaching (Early Years) to gather research regarding the expectations that parents and early childhood teachers have around school readiness.

Andrea is also the Founder and Managing Director of Leor In Home Early Learning, a service that places qualified and experienced early childhood educators into family homes to deliver education and care, with individualised learning programs and measurable outcomes for families. Andrea’s passion for education has brought her into the early childhood field, where she used her legal, governance, and operations experience, as well as her own experience as a mother of three young children, to create the Leor model of in home education and care.
