1. Does National FutureSchools Expo count towards PD/professional learning activities that are required as part of maintaining my professional registration as a teacher?

YES , attendance at National FutureSchools Expo counts towards PD/professional learning activities which you can record with your relevant state teacher registration board.

 

2. How many PD hours does National FutureSchools Expo count for?

Depending on the number of sessions attended, delegates can get up to 11 hours for the two conference days, whilst attendees who choose to stay on and attend one of our pre event masterclasses can get an additional 5.5 hours for the third day.

For Example:



Completing any of the pre-event Masterclasses , will contribute 5 hours and 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.



Completing the Future Leaders conference will contribute 11 hours and 0 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 3.3.2, 4.1.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.



Completing the Teaching Kids to Code conference will contribute 11 hours and 0 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.6.2, 6.2.2, 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.



Completing the ClassTECH conference will contribute 11 hours and 0 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 3.4.2, 4.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.



Completing the Special Needs and Inclusion conference will contribute 11 hours and 0 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.5.2, 1.6.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.



Completing the Young Learners conference will contribute 11 hours and 0 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.1.2, 2.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

 

3. Where do I record my PD activities and hours?

4. Do I get a certificate of attendance?

YES . Upon registration, National FutureSchools Expo delegates may request a certificate of attendance which can be used as proof of professional learning. The organisers will validate their attendance post event and a certificate showing the number of hours attended will be sent accordingly.
